Long Service Awards 2012
There were several long service awards handed out by P&R’s MD Alan Rothwell this year. Appreciation for that service ranged from a rather nice pair of watches, a weekend break and a week away in Spain.
Chris Hadrman (far left) a mould technician celebrated 10 years’ service with the company as did Rachel Leatherbarrow who works in the Customer Services Department. Looking back on 20 years’ service Sales & Marketing Manager Dave Bowden joined the company in 1992 when there were just 25 employees and the company was approaching its first 1 million pounds of sales. But that was nothing compared to an impressive 30 years (the age of the company and in fact its first employee) for P&R’s Technical Manager Steve Pollitt. Steve literally joined with the company founders and given the right inducement has a number of stories about the early days I’m sure he would be keen to disclose. The company now employ 144 people of which 35 have a minimum of 10 years’ service or more.
