The P&R mould tool design studio features three solidworks work stations and three Cimatron E 3D tool design stations ensuring fast tool and component designs eliminating the risk of bottlenecks. The department also has the latest 3D ABS FDM Modeller from Laserlines. This enables P&R to provide to the customer a 3D model of the injection moulded part prior to the cutting of steel for tooling.
At P&R manufacturing issues are reduced by carrying out a design review. By this means a specification for the injection moulded product is created including; colour, test methods, material spec, packing spec, confidence of fill, mouldflow, gate issues, warpage concerns and optimum tool design for the part.
