During the development of a new high volume tooling project for one of our new customers in the electrical sector, P&R required the expertise of Masterflow AB to supply a valve stem housing (pictured) as part of the hot runner system. Their engineers worked closely with our team of toolmakers during this high pressure project( as we were under stringent delivery demands from the customer) to ensure the minimum cycle time and maximum quality as demanded by our customer. Patterson Rothwell Purchase Agie Charmilles E600 EDM Machine

Substantial Investment by Injection Moulder & Toolmakers Patterson & Rothwell Ltd.

 

Based in North Manchester and established in 1982 the £15million turnover business that operates from a 6 acre 135,000 sq ft site took delivery in December of an additional  Agie Charmilles E600 EDM machine. The purchase was part of a combined £2.5 million investment during 2018 which included injection moulding presses, robotics, software, training, logistic equipment and human resources. TRP – Tool Replacement Program

P&R now have spare capacity in our Clean Facility due to the success of the Value Engineering Analysis (VEA) and  the Tool Replacement Program, (TRP) efficiency programs.

P&R New Machining Centre

Patterson & Rothwell has invested circa £160,000 on a new Machining Centre from leading manufactures DMG Mori. The DMC 850V will allow Patterson & Rothwell to cut larger projects at an increased rate offering our customers competitive lead times to launch their plastic injection moulding products to market. Review of 2017

If we were to sum up our year of 2017 it would be one of anticipation. This word comes to mind more than any other simply because there were so many projects on the go, that were a mix of potential new customers and potential new product development. In addition, there was the marketing that went into creating the demand in the first place. The new P&R website, our social media accounts including Twitter and Linkedin as well as Facebook, all together helping our SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) campaigns. Continue reading
